West High School has a long tradition of theatre excellence that dates back to the early 1900s. Before moving to our current location in the 1920s, the shows were performed at Central High School (currently COSI).

We are actively involved with the International Thespian Society, as Troupe #3750. We currently have nine inducted members. Our Thespian activities include the Leadership Conference in October as well as the Central Area Conference at Centennial High School in December and the Ohio Thespian State Conference at Beavercreek High School in March.

We are currently being led by Mr. William Engelman, who has been teaching over ten years. Our season includes a Social Issues Play, a Musical, and a Full-Length Play. The 2009-2010 school year promises to bring new challenges and successes to our program.

The officers for our Drama Club are:

The West High School auditorium... it is quite awesome

Our Social Issues Drama Program was awarded the top prize at the Columbus Rotary “Service Above Self” fair! It was awarded Most Exemplary Project out of 64 service projects from across the Columbus City School District.

Congratulations to everyone involved with the production!
